ALUCRO non-profit association organizes on August 28, 29 and 30, 2009, on the beach in Costinesti, between 10.00 – 18.00, the event entitled:

RECYCLING FEST

The event aims to inform and raise citizens' awareness of the importance of collecting and recycling of aluminum cans, aluminum being 100% recyclable. By this initiative is intended to promote recycling of cans, while helping to protect the environment, saving resources and energy to our benefit and future generations.

Tourists, and not only tourist, are invited to keep cans of aluminum after consuming the content and come with at least 15 cans on the beach, to the organizers tent where they will receive in return a full can of Bergenbier beer / Bergenbier without alcohol beer or Pepsi, Mirinda, Mountain Dew juice. This represents the minimum amount to join the raffle that will be held Sunday, August 30, whose BIG PRIZE is a digital camera; 4 mp3 players come to complete list of prizes.

Will be an interactive event, with awards, animation, face painting, games and fun.

RECYCLING FEST is part of an extensive campaign designed to promote collection and recycling of aluminum cans, which will be conducted in several cities throughout 2009.

Final Report - RECYCLING FEST

Friday, August 28 at 10 we kicked off at recycling!

In front of the Caribbean Beach, on Beach Costinesti we assembled the tent and started to collect cans. Of great help were the three DJ from disco RING who announced every hour our messages, the girls that shared flyers from the parasailing and on the beach.

Saturday we had face painting, games and contests. The children were the first that helped us and soon the cans were almost disappeared from the beach and the pile in front of our tent grew.

Sunday we awarded the best. The tourists on the beach have quickly understood our message and brought cans to the organizers` tent. we rewarded them with a cold beer or juice offered by event sponsors: BERGENBIER and PEPSI.

At the end of the three days we counted: 16 500 cans, 75 bags weighing 250 kg.
