This morning the Piatra Neamt citizens which were waiting for means of transportation in the station from the Ozana tower bloc, were curiously analyzing a huge beer can. Some pedestrians are already using the new bin: especially, a garbage bin specifically for aluminum containers.

New street furniture is part of a project proposed by City Hall, which tends to expand in high traffic areas of the city to maintain cleanliness and waste recycling.

Besides can-shaped bins,City Hall is also preparing a surprise to the citizens with civic spirit. Parallelepiped-shaped bins which will collect paper, plastic and glassware, and the five girls will be the media display surfaces.

"We aim to bring the two bins in Piatra Neamt, especially to induce citizens to show civic responsibility and not to throw out trash. In addition to this, I think that bins have triple role. Besides the basic idea to recycle garbage, are decorative and offer advertising space" said deputy city Dragos Chitic.

The bins arouse amusement of the Piatra Neamt citizens

Doses of beer on the streets are mounted by a company which signed a cooperation agreement with the Piatra Neamt City Hall for a period of five years.

Under the name Eco Box Media, the new bins aroused both curiosity and smile of the Piatra Neamt citizens. "I noticed them last night. They are very interesting and frankly I did not expect it to be a garbage can. They have a different form from what we see now on the pillars of the city", said amazed Ioana Silvaru

Other citizens from Piatra Neamt that passed this morning by the tower block Ozana were amused by three-dimensional dose. "They really look like a beer can. I hope not to be any hint to the pleasure of some of us" said the builder Ion Baciu, smiling. "We hope this experiment to give results, and the citizens to get used to keep the city clean," said Dragos Chitic.
